My 7 year old son has plenty of reasons why he shouldn’t have to clean his room.
My 3 year old daughter has explained to me (in great detail) why eating candy and watching cartoons all night is a good thing.
My wife (censored – I want to stay married)
And – on a daily basis – I read about or receive an email from a grown man whose excuse for his shoddy & dirty appearance is -
“Dressing sharp just isn’t me – it isn’t who I am.”
So let me get this straight.
Caring about how you represent yourself, your family, and your profession to the world isn’t a part of who you are.
Then just who are you?
This video is a little bit of a rant – and a little bit of me trying to dispel the myth that dressing sharp isn’t about who we are. Because we all have hopes, dreams, aspirations, and goals. To reach these new heights, we have to enlist the help of others. And to do that we have to engender trust, we have to convince others to follow, and we have to persuade influential people to invest time and money in our causes.
Pride in one’s personal presentation makes a big difference. Give it your attention.
Because dressing sharp – whether you’re a blue or white collar professional – is part of the man you are striving to become.
